"One word to describe Haili's = ONO! I was in the area to try out Ono's just a block away, but they don't accept credit cards which is how I ended up at Haili's instead. I'm so glad I gave this place a try! Tastes just how I expect Hawaiian food to taste, and the price is right! I ordered the Kalua pig bowl, which is a HEAPING bowl of Kalua pig and rice and a side of sweet potato and onions (only cost $7.25). My husband ordered the Big Kahuna plate and it was loaded with the works: kalua pig, laulau, lomi salmon, poke, chicken long rice, and a choice of rice OR poi (cost $16.something). I was completely full by all of the delicious grinds. And the hospitality from the workers was totally genuine and they're full of aloha. I will definitely be back! They're worth the drive from Ewa beach all the way out to town. Lol. Word to the wise, Helena's is nothing compared to this place. Food is DELICIOUS. Workers are so kind and welcoming. Price is right for the amount of food."

"Had a taste of the Haupia (free sample): coconut-milk based dessert. Food was delicious, staff was local, and the ambiance was roomy."

"Apr 10, 2014 My wife and I wanted to try real Hawaiian food during our vacation. We found this place in a Google search and decided to try it out. I am glad we did! The staff was very nice and explained to us what traditional Hawaiian food consisted of and how it was prepared. The food was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant to any tourist visiting the Waikiki area."

"Stopped after hiking Diamond head. Wanted authentic Hawaiian food, and judging by all the locals, I believe this is it. Very friendly owners took the time yo explain all the menu items to us. Food was great, the whole family loved it. Marking down a star for the decor, but really not a big deal if you want to eat like a local. Definitely try the coconut dessert, its kinda like coconut jello, very tasty!"
